A new PvE mode in Overwatch 2 in 2023
Let's start with some interesting news about Overwatch 2 - a PvE mode should appear in the game in 2023. Game director Aaron Keller spoke about this in an interview for the NME.
According to Keller, the developers abandoned the idea of releasing a PvE mode along with a multiplayer component due to the difference in the amount of content. The authors of Overwatch 2 needed more time to work out the story campaign and additional mechanics.
New missions will be added gradually, but the developers have not yet decided on the frequency of updates. We are excited about this upcoming update and can't wait for the new content.
Apex Legends season 16 leaks
And Overwatch is not the only thing we are waiting for. Apex Legends developers are about to launch a new season. Respawn hasn't confirmed a date yet, but we can expect it to be released on February 14, 2023. This date is stated in the current Apex Legends Battle Pass, which started on November 1, 2022 and runs for 105 days.
There are rumors that the game could change a lot. For example, the class system in Apex Legends might look completely different in Season 16. Based largely on the leaks found by Tordan Smash, it is widely believed that Apex Legend's current four-class system will turn into a five-class system: Assault, Control, Recon, Skirmisher, and Support.
Season 16 may also feature a new Legend — Ballistic. This update will likely allow all Support Legends to open blue loot boxes (not just Lifeline) and introduce red loot boxes that can only be unlocked in Assault Legends.
It is important to remember that those are just rumors for now. Hopefully, Respawn will be able to surprise us with some amazing news.
Unconfirmed new VALORANT roster by Felix xQc
Moving on, there are other things to be surprised about. Felix xQc Lengyel is eager to assemble his own VALORANT team. The content creator spoke about this during a stream on Twitch.
xQc stated that the team will have one goal - to crush the team of Jeremy Disguised Toast Wang.
Disguised Toast assembled his VALORANT roster in January 2023. The line-up included former T1 captain Joshua steel Nissan, Amgalan genghsta Nemekhbayar, Damion XXiF Cooke, Drake Exalt Branley, and Joseph clear Allen. The team won one of the open qualifier rounds and received a slot in the North American Regional League.
Streamers are flooding into esports, and their fans are excited about this. Let's hope that Felix's words turn into reality.
New PUBG mode: intense battle royale
Speaking of reality, Krafton, the developer behind PUBG: Battlegrounds, has announced a new mode.
This is a stripped down version of the original Battle Royale, with up to 16 players or four teams in a match.
The mode was named Intense Battle Royale. Matches will take place on the Erangel, Miramar, Taego and Deston maps. At the same time, the locations will be limited: on each map, the developers will allocate a small area in which the battle will take place. The authors noted that they will turn off red zones and other similar mechanics in these territories.
Get ready to make your lunch break more fun by playing a couple of matches!
